Our client is a leading maker for the international design community
A team of craftspeople, designers and engineers working in non‐ferrous and ferrous materials to produce sculptural installations, bespoke furniture & lighting and entire product ranges.
They currently have a requirement for a Designer with a minimum of 5 years experience .
The main responsibilities of the Designer will be to
Check technical feasibility with senior craftsman and workshop manager Produce technical drawings for clients and job packs for the production team
Produce material specification in conjunction with production team and purchasing
Regularly meet with production team to ensure accuracy of end product
Inspect product prior to delivery
Work in Solidworks®
Ensure projects are managed through the business accurately and efficiently
Allocate jobs in conjunction with the project coordinator and workshop manager
Monitor the design schedule, prioritising workloads
Manage design team members and ensure they are working as per company procedure and review their work ahead of presentation to the client
