Our client is a leading maker for the international design community
A team of craftspeople, designers and engineers working in non‐ferrous and ferrous materials to produce sculptural installations, bespoke furniture & lighting and entire product ranges.
They currently have a requirement for a Designer with a minimum of 5 years experience .
The main responsibilities of the Designer will be to
Check technical feasibility with senior craftsman and workshop manager Produce technical drawings for clients and job packs for the production team
Produce material specification in conjunction with production team and purchasing
Regularly meet with production team to ensure accuracy of end product
Inspect product prior to delivery
Work in Solidworks®
Ensure projects are managed through the business accurately and efficiently
Allocate jobs in conjunction with the project coordinator and workshop manager
Monitor the design schedule, prioritising workloads
Manage design team members and ensure they are working as per company procedure and review their work ahead of presentation to the client
Attend client design meetings
